In recent weeks, many events to welcome the "new recruits" of grade 10 have taken place at high schools in Ho Chi Minh City. Among them, famous schools over a hundred years old such as Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Quy Don, Tran Dai Nghia specialized schools... or nearly a hundred years old like Le Hong Phong specialized schools have organized impressive camping days, running station activities or club experiences... that have made students "crazy".
On the morning of September 23, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (District 3) organized a traditional camp with the theme "Khai sac" to welcome the "new recruits" of the 2023-2026 school year, with the hope that they will "bloom" brilliantly in the next 3 years. Here, new members of the 110-year-old school competed in various competitions from physical to intellectual, and at the same time learned about opportunities to apply for academic and artistic clubs.
Despite being injured on the day of the event due to carelessness during practice, Tran Tang Quynh Quyen, class 10A6, still had fun "forgetting the pain" with her friends. "Although there was some difficulty in moving, that could not stop me from fighting alongside my teammates on this important day," the female student excitedly said.
Tug of war, "knowledge arena", or chain games are all activities that make the "new recruits" of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School excited and constantly cheer for their teammates.
The "most mischievous and second most evil" moments of the students
Impressive performance by members of the "Extraordinary Lavender" camp, with costumes and accessories such as flags, watering cans, plastic wings... designed and made by the members themselves.
Following her child throughout the festival and always recording moments of her child and her classmates, Ms. Dang Thi Kim Loan shared that she always wanted to accompany her child on the journey of growing up. "Especially today, through the camp, I am very happy to see my child growing up," Ms. Loan confided.
After the competition ended, 10th graders quickly rushed to the clubs' booths to experience the activities. Truong Ngo Gia Bao, head of the STEAMK club, brought to the festival a 3D printer that can create models of their choice. "STEAMK is a place to help those with a passion for technology 'sublimate'. In 2022, we were lucky to be in the top 40 of the National Robotics Tournament co-organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology and STEAM Vietnam," Bao introduced.
Previously, on September 5, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (District 1) organized a welcoming camp for 10th grade students called "Support". Taking place after the opening ceremony, the program had a "highlight" of 7 stations with different activities to create an exciting atmosphere for the "citizens of the Tran Chuyen Kingdom", from "Mysterious Forest", to " Science Village" or "Asian Square"...
