The girl with impressive academic achievements boldly challenged her own limits.

"I proactively connected with seniors to share experiences, learning resources and teaching styles of each teacher. During the course, many subjects required group work, so a team with members who understood each other and could support each other was essential," Hoa shared about her learning process to achieve a perfect GPA.

Hoa added: “An important factor to achieve high scores is to study with focus. When taking notes in class, I always note down the important points that the teacher emphasizes and find more materials and practice more thoroughly in those sections when reviewing for exams. I do not give up on any subject. I will study more deeply the subjects that I like, and if I am not strong in them, I still try to complete them at an acceptable level.”

During his studies at Foreign Trade University, Hoa received academic encouragement scholarships in all semesters. In 2019, Hoa received a scholarship to study abroad at Hannam University, Korea as an exchange student and excellently achieved a perfect GPA of 4.5/4.5.

After graduating, Hoa started working at a multinational company based in Japan, in the field of logistics and supply chain management. After a period of working, Hoa realized that she really loved and was suitable for this industry, so she decided to stick with it for a long time and study for a master's degree. "The working process also helped me determine a clearer direction in the industry, and at the same time, realize the knowledge and tools I lacked to develop. And these factors I can cultivate through the process of studying for a master's degree," Hoa shared.

Hoa spent time researching and planning to "hunt" for a master's scholarship in Europe. In 2022, Hoa received a full scholarship (100% tuition and living expenses) for a master's degree in logistics and supply chain management at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) and BI Norwegian Business School (Norway). And Hoa chose to study at Delft University of Technology.

“Proactively connect with people who have received scholarships, individuals who have a realistic view and are closest to the goals you are aiming for. During the application process, I was enthusiastically shared experiences with people I had never met through LinkedIn (a social network). Unique essay ideas that clearly demonstrate the candidate’s vision and development potential in the industry are also important factors for applying for a scholarship. The candidate’s learning, research, and development orientation expressed in the essay should be closely related to the content that the school is interested in (learn through the course description provided on the school’s website)”, Hoa shared her experience to get the scholarship.

As a global citizen, strong, independent and always determined in pursuing her passion, Hoa is considered a role model that many girls want to aspire to.

“On International Women’s Day, March 8, I wish all girls happiness and beauty. Be bold in challenging your limits, because we can do more than we think. “Can-do spirit” is my current guiding principle, always ready to accept new challenges because there will be many opportunities,” Hoa shared.
