Two universities open the "gate", bringing thousands of new graduates into the working world

(NLDO)- Among the thousands of graduates, there are 2,831 students from Ho Chi Minh City Open University and 1,870 students from the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

On December 1, Ho Chi Minh City Open University awarded graduation certificates for the 2024 regular university program.

Of the total 2,831 students graduating this time, 28 students achieved the title of valedictorian of the entire course, 92 students had excellent academic achievements throughout the course, 1 student achieved the highest academic achievement in the major - course...

Dr. Le Xuan Truong, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that in addition to solid specialized knowledge and standard foreign language skills, new graduates are also equipped with a foundation of practical knowledge, social skills and a broad vision of their professional fields through a variety of extracurricular programs, business field trips, internships and diverse internships. Thanks to that, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience, practice skills and quickly adapt to the working environment.

According to statistics, more than 93% of students of Ho Chi Minh City Open University have jobs within 12 months after graduation. Of which, the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing has a rate of students having jobs after graduation reaching 96 % . The number of students majoring in Auditing having jobs completely suitable/related to their major is also high.

On the same day, the University of Science (a member of VNU-HCM) held a ceremony to award bachelor's degrees in science, phase 2 - 2024, to honor 1,870 new bachelors who have excellently completed their study and research programs.

Information from the school shows that about 39.3% of students graduated with honors and distinctions. In particular, the rate of honors and distinctions for the Class of 2020 as of October 2024 of the Talented Bachelor Program and the Advanced Program reached over 80%. There are 29 valedictorians of the school and major, and 2 students graduated early (Class of 2021).

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Le Quan, Principal of the University of Natural Sciences, affirmed that during the training process, the school has equipped new graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills so that graduates can adapt and meet the requirements of many different professions and fields.
