After two days of exciting and interesting activities, the Green Vietnam Festival has contributed to inspiring a large number of users to continue living an increasingly green lifestyle.
"Every day I still try to practice many green ways such as: sorting trash at home, using paper bags when going to the market, bringing my cup home to buy coffee... But sometimes I feel lost when everyone around me does the opposite. At the festival, my faith is reinforced" - Ms. Hong Uyen, director of the Southern region of a media company, shared.
Very inspirational festival
After experiencing the activities at the Green Vietnam Festival at the Youth Cultural House (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), Ms. Uyen hopes that there will be more programs like this so that people can understand correctly and fully about green living.
Doctor My Loan (An Hy clinic, Phu Nhuan district) commented:
"If we only promote one-way communication without festivals like this - with connecting activities, recycled products, and specific knowledge - it will be difficult to raise awareness and encourage people to practice green living.
Many young people who came to the Green Vietnam Festival also shared interesting knowledge.
Ms. Hoang My (Binh Thanh District) said: "Women often change their clothes quickly according to the fashion, but now they can limit it to dark-toned clothes made of environmentally friendly cotton material"...
Expressing her belief in a green future for Vietnamese people, Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Ngoc, operations director of Cho Tot, hopes: "We believe that when young people choose used goods, they not only save money but also contribute to protecting natural resources.
Green Vietnam Day is not only an occasion for people to receive gifts, but also an opportunity to feel the great meaning of a green lifestyle, bringing inspiration and strong motivation for everyone to join hands to build a sustainable future."
Marvel at recycled products
During the two days of the Green Vietnam Festival, many visitors were amazed by the beautiful and sturdy disposable dishes made entirely from leaves at the experiential space of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry.
Or at the experience space of Duy Tan Plastic Company, products made from used plastic bottles, carrying the message "Changing life for plastic bottles" attracted many people.
Faslink Company's display area attracts the attention of many young people because of its fashion products made from waste such as oyster shells, stone powder, coffee grounds, lotus fibers, etc.
Thanks to technology, waste is "transformed" into new and valuable products.
In particular, the image of children and their parents bringing dozens, even hundreds of empty milk cartons to exchange for gifts at Vinamilk's experience space made a strong impression on visitors.
The experience space of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Company stands out with products whose packaging is made from 100% recycled plastic. To reduce the impact on the environment, the company has constantly innovated to reduce virgin plastic in packaging, improving packaging to increase recyclability.
Promote green production, green consumption
According to journalist Tran Xuan Toan, deputy editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Green Vietnam Festival has concluded successfully, strongly spreading messages about green production, green consumption and sustainable development.
Through the festival, businesses have connected, received more orders for manufacturing green products, recycled products and consumers also learned more about environmentally friendly products, contributing to forming green living and green consumption habits.
These are values that go beyond the framework of a festival, contributing to promoting a green economy and reducing carbon emissions.
Mr. Dao Nguyen Khanh, Head of Sustainable Development and Corporate Communications at INSEE Vietnam, affirmed:
"Through the festival, we have the opportunity to introduce more green, low-carbon material products to consumers, especially young customers.
Many customers have a better understanding of the production process of green cement and emission-reducing cement and have expressed their intention to use these green products in the future.
Through the festival, messages about sustainable development and promoting the application of low-carbon cement products in construction projects were spread.
Ms. Bui Phuong Thao - Sustainability Director of AirX Carbon - said that the surprising thing was that many customers through Tuoi Tre newspaper learned about AirX Carbon and came to the festival to directly learn and experience the recycled products from agricultural waste such as coconut shells, rice husks, coffee husks, wood chips, etc. that the unit is producing.
"More than 10 partners have discussed and expressed their desire to place orders to produce pallets or recycled products, opening up more production opportunities for us, helping recycled products get closer to consumers," Ms. Thao said excitedly.
"The festival is so meaningful, carrying many messages"
At noon on November 10, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen (Chairman of the Inter-Pacific Group - IPPG) got out of the car, quietly walked into the space of the Green Vietnam Festival, and joined the crowd of people "going to the festival" to learn about green products.
After walking around, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen stayed and shared with businesses whose products were introduced at the festival.
After experiencing the festival, he shared with Tuoi Tre: "It's so meaningful, I walked around and saw the whole green space and it carried a lot of messages."
Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen said that on a weekend morning, he was sitting in his car passing by the Youth Cultural House and saw information about the Green Vietnam Festival at the gate, so he was curious and went in to see.
The deeper he went into the spaces, the more green and recycled products he saw being introduced, conveying the message of reducing, recycling, and reusing...
Appreciating the significance and spread of the program, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen hopes that Tuoi Tre will continue to "take the lead" in activities to promote sustainable development, not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also spread further throughout the country with the goal of making Vietnam green, clean and beautiful.
