According to the Organizing Committee, 11 individuals and organizations donated 15 prize-winning ginseng plants for auction. The Ngoc Linh ginseng auction took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
The ginseng plants brought to auction are from 5 to 15 years old, of high quality both in terms of aesthetics and medicinal properties because they won prizes at this year's ginseng competition.

The initial price of each ginseng tree was from 10 to 50 million VND. After many auctions, the price of ginseng has increased many times. Many people participating in the auction "fixed" high prices to own beautiful ginseng trees.
In addition to direct participants, the auction also attracted customers to bid online.
The highest auctioned Ngoc Linh ginseng root was up to nearly 130 million VND.
As a result, the auction raised more than 361 million VND, all of which was used to support the work of eliminating temporary houses in Nam Tra My district.
Mr. Nguyen Van Luong (50 years old, residing in village 2, Tra Linh commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam) came to support the auction of a bunch of Ngoc Linh ginseng weighing more than 500g, starting price 50 million VND.

After many auctions, the final winner settled on 129 million VND for this ginseng bunch.
Mr. Luong said that this is a meaningful auction because all the auction money will be used to eliminate temporary houses for poor households in the area.
The final winner of the ginseng bunch auction was Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong (residing in Tra Nam commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam). He said that in today's Ngoc Linh ginseng auction, he bought the ginseng bunch for 129 million VND and 1 ginseng plant for more than 40 million VND.
Mr. Cuong shared: “This Ngoc Linh ginseng auction is very meaningful because the proceeds will be used to remove temporary houses. This year’s auction is the result of a letter calling for support to remove temporary houses from Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.”
Within the framework of the 6th Ngoc Linh ginseng festival in 2024, Nam Tra My district organized a ginseng competition. This is a "game" between businesses, organizations, and individuals growing Ngoc Linh ginseng.
This year's contest has nearly 100 participants, including businesses, organizations and individuals growing Ngoc Linh ginseng in Nam Tra My district.
Through the contest, the success of growers, conservation and development of Ngoc Linh ginseng in Nam Tra My district is recognized.
Ngoc Linh ginseng growers introduced the origin, growing and caring process of Ngoc Linh ginseng; age as well as color, balance of stem, branches, leaves, flowers, tubers...
The contest is an opportunity to promote, propagate and exploit the value of Ngoc Linh ginseng; at the same time, introduce the most beautiful ginseng works of Nam Tra My district to tourists.
The results of the Ngoc Linh ginseng competition will be announced on August 3, after the end of the 6th Ngoc Linh ginseng festival in 2024.
