According to Labor Hero Thai Huong, President of VAWE, the Association currently has 33 Women Entrepreneurs Associations in 32 provinces and cities across the North - Central - South regions with tens of thousands of members who are female business owners, operating in all fields and industries, employing millions of workers, contributing hundreds of thousands of billions of VND to the budget. Not only in the business world, VAWE female entrepreneurs always preserve, promote and build the image of women - Vietnamese female entrepreneurs of the new era, with the role of women, mothers and wives in building families, taking care of the previous generation and raising the next generation.

Ms. Thai Huong also said that volunteer activities and social security are always emphasized in the Association's activities. Many charity houses, schools, and bridges in flood areas have been built; many children have better opportunities to exercise their right to go to school. In the Association, there are leading enterprises implementing innovative research models on nutrition and physical fitness of Vietnamese children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, female enterprises and the Association took the lead in contributing to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund, buying ventilators, medical equipment and supplies, supporting the frontline against the pandemic, building 0-dong supermarkets, helping workers and disadvantaged communities... worth thousands of billions of dong.

At the meeting, representatives of female entrepreneurs expressed their gratitude to the Party, State, ministries and functional agencies for always removing difficulties, making timely decisions for business development; always supporting and accompanying the development journey of the Association and the sustainable development of female enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, President Vo Van Thuong sent his best wishes to the delegates and businesswomen nationwide. The President emphasized that after nearly 40 years of renovation, under the leadership of the Party, the efforts of the entire political system and the entire people, our country has overcome many difficulties and challenges, achieved many great and historic achievements, making our country's foundation, position and prestige like never before. In that common achievement, there are important, persistent and impressive contributions from the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Vietnamese businesswomen. The President expressed his admiration, pride and emotion for Vietnamese businesswomen, who always have high determination, overcome the storms of the business world, and achieved many important achievements.

The President believes that the success and the path to success of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs is “a difficult path, not only full of roses but also very bumpy, winding, very arduous and requires a lot of effort”. These are also stories that have great inspiration for society and the young generation who are starting to start businesses and want to become entrepreneurs. The President also acknowledged that, in addition to their business careers, female entrepreneurs are always the support of their families, taking care of the previous generation, nurturing the next generation, truly Vietnamese women who are both good at national affairs and good at housework.

Recalling the goal of our country becoming a high-income developed country by 2045, President Vo Van Thuong pointed out that whether this goal becomes a reality or not depends in part on the important contribution of the business community, including female entrepreneurs. Party and State leaders always listen and improve the business investment environment so that the business community can maximize their potential and contribute to society and the country.

With women accounting for 50% of the population and approximately 50% of the workforce being female, the President said that the number of 8,000 female entrepreneurs participating in VAWE does not fully reflect the potential of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs. Therefore, the President suggested that the Association expand its network across 63 provinces and cities.

The President also hopes that the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association will be a place to “nurture and encourage the true aspiration to get rich of women and businesswomen”; continue to affirm the brand of Vietnamese goods through the Association’s activities, especially forums, exchanges, and sharing of knowledge and modern management experience, meeting the increasingly high demands of socio-economic life, business requirements at the regional and global scale. In particular, “strongly inspire the efforts to rise up, encourage young men and women to get rich legitimately”.
