On the afternoon of August 1, President To Lam and President of Timor Leste Jose Ramos-Horta, who are on a state visit to Vietnam, visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum, which preserves documents, artifacts, and original films about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

After President Ho Chi Minh passed away, in response to the wishes of the Vietnamese people, the Politburo and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam decided to build the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. After 20 years of preparation and construction, on May 19, 1990, the Ho Chi Minh Museum was inaugurated on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth. The Ho Chi Minh Museum, with a total area of up to 18,000 m2, is located in a complex combined with relics such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and the One Pillar Pagoda. This is a priceless asset of the Vietnamese people in educating patriotism, studying the pure ideology and morality of President Ho Chi Minh; nurturing generations of Vietnamese people to faithfully and excellently continue his great revolutionary cause.

The content displayed at the Ho Chi Minh Museum is built on the basis of research results of many Vietnamese historians, architects and artists on the life of President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese history and world history in the era when Ho Chi Minh lived and worked.
