A week after being crowned, Miss Huynh Tran Y Nhi has continuously received mixed reactions for her statements. Many viewers think that she behaved in a tactless manner.

The official controversy started from a slip of the tongue: "While my peers only spent time sleeping, playing, and drinking milk tea, I participated in a beauty pageant. I think I'm more mature than you guys. While you guys both go to school and work, I'm already a beauty queen. From now on, I will keep myself more in order to be worthy of the position of a beauty queen."

On another occasion, she expressed her opinion about her boyfriend: "I am now in a new position, which is truly a leap forward compared to me 2-3 months ago. Surely my boyfriend must also have rapid changes and progress to be able to keep up with me.

After the incident, the new beauty queen admitted that she lacked maturity and experience, so she could not express her interview answers accurately, causing the audience to misunderstand.

Y Nhi burst into tears and said in a livestream on the afternoon of July 29: "I apologize for making everyone sad. I didn't think that as a beauty queen, I would say such inaccurate words. I hope that in the future, I will say appropriate words so that everyone will have a better view of me."

In addition, Y Nhi explained that because she had to participate in many interviews and receive many questions with different perspectives, sometimes she did not fully understand the meaning of the questions, so she could not answer accurately and in accordance with her own thoughts.

"I was also tired, which made my mind not clear enough to express exactly what I wanted to say," the beauty queen added.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi was born in 2002, from Binh Dinh, 1.75m tall, three-round measurements 79-59-89cm, currently a student at International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

The new beauty queen impressed with her sweet beauty and good English communication skills. Y Nhi is said to have a harmonious combination of appearance, education and good stage skills. Y Nhi's elegance is also considered to be close to the criteria of Miss World.
