Comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the working delegation inspected the actual storm prevention work in Hoa Cu commune, Cao Loc district on the morning of September 6.

Also on September 6, the Provincial People's Committee established 4 working delegations led by the Provincial People's Committee leaders.   Conduct field inspections at key and dangerous locations as well as storm and flood preparedness work in districts and cities.

It is expected that in the following days, depending on the development of rain and storms, the People's Committee will continue to organize inspections and direct specific solutions. Along with that, the People's Committees of districts, cities, communes, wards and towns will also quickly organize inspections of storm prevention and control work as well as deploy specific response solutions. Storm response preparation work in Dinh Lap district, one of the areas forecast to be greatly affected by the storm, is an example.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, Chairman of Dinh Lap District People's Committee, said: Implementing the direction of the superiors, the District People's Committee quickly assigned members of the District's Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command to form teams to inspect, guide and urge the implementation of proactive measures to prevent and combat natural disasters in communes, towns, and areas at risk of damage; organize inspections and close inspections of unsafe houses and dangerous areas to have plans to evacuate people to safe places (through inspection, the whole district has 351 households at risk of being affected by flooding, flash floods and landslides and 65 traffic points). In addition, the District People's Committee also arranged forces to control and guide traffic, especially through culverts, spillways, flooded areas, and fast-flowing water; prepare forces, vehicles and necessities according to the "4 on-site" motto to be proactive and ready to respond to all situations.

Ms. Bui Thi Huan, Block 11, Vinh Trai Ward, Lang Son City said: Through following the media, I know that this is a very strong storm and will directly affect Lang Son. Learning from the experience of recent heavy rains that caused flooding on some roads around my house, my family has proactively prepared food and reinforced some of the house doors to avoid being affected by rain and storms.

Storm No. 3 is considered one of the strongest storms in the past 10 years. Hopefully, with the proactiveness of all levels, sectors and people, the response to the super storm will achieve positive results. Thereby contributing to minimizing the damage to people and property in the area.
