Relieve comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong from his duties as National Assembly delegate

The National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution on the dismissal of comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong from the position of Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee.

On the afternoon of May 22, the National Assembly conducted the process of discussing, giving opinions, and voting on the proposal of the National Assembly Standing Committee on dismissal and termination of duties as National Assembly deputies for personnel elected by the 15th National Assembly.

Accordingly, with 93.33% of the total number of delegates in favor, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the dismissal of the position of Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee and the termination of the duties of National Assembly delegate of the 15th tenure for comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong (National Assembly delegate of Dong Nai province, constituency No. 1, Bien Hoa city).

This Resolution takes effect from the date of its approval by the National Assembly.

The National Assembly has conducted the process of electing additional members of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee. The results were announced this afternoon.

* Comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong was born on June 19, 1967. Hometown: Tan Phuoc Khanh Commune, Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong Province. Comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong has held many leadership positions in Dong Nai such as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council...

Previously, on May 15, the Central Executive Committee agreed to let comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong resign from the position of member of the 13th Central Committee.

On May 16, comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong submitted a request to resign from his duties as a National Assembly delegate and from the positions elected by the 15th National Assembly.
