Hai Duong appoints leaders of 5 merged departments

On February 20, the People's Council of Hai Duong province held its 29th session, approving many important contents, including the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.


At the meeting, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council reviewed and decided on a number of urgent issues to serve the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus; support policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees who retire early and resign during the restructuring of the apparatus.

The People's Council of Hai Duong province passed a resolution to dismiss the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee with 5 directors of the merged departments due to job transfer and change of position, including: Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Van Doan; Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Bui Thanh Tung; Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Le Anh Dung; Director of the Department of Science and Technology Pham Van Manh; Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Duong Van Xuyen.

After the dismissal, the People's Council of Hai Duong province elected to supplement the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026, for Chief Inspector of Hai Duong province Nguyen Ngoc Sam.

Immediately after the meeting, Hai Duong People's Committee held a conference to announce the decision to appoint leaders of 5 merged departments; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and Deputy Directors of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism.

According to the decisions, Mr. Bui Van Thang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Cao Thang, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology. Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Trong Tue, Director of the Department of Finance; Sai Thi Yen, Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Nguyen Hoai Long, Director of the Department of Construction, retain their positions after the merger.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang said: Hai Duong has basically completed the task of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the direction of the Central Committee. Hai Duong has announced the merger of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, ending the activities of 3 Party Executive Committees, 8 Party Delegations, and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc to establish 2 Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, and perfecting the personnel of newly established organizations.

Up to now, the specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Hai Duong province have reduced 5 departments, down to 99 divisions, reaching over 23%; the district level has reduced 24 specialized divisions.
