The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued Notice No. 63/TB-BTNMT on the operation of the National EPR Electronic Information Portal with the domain name: https://epr.monre.gov.vn/vi/.
The National EPR Portal helps manufacturers and importers who are responsible for product and packaging recycling (Article 54 of the Law on Environmental Protection) and waste treatment (Article 55 of the Law on Environmental Protection) to register, declare and report on the National EPR Portal (online) from January 29, 2024 instead of submitting paper copies to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 87 of Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP dated January 10, 2022 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Environmental Protection.
To authenticate registration, declaration and reporting information on the National EPR Electronic Information Portal, manufacturers and importers must use digital signature support software on Windows, Linux, Mac. In case of needing support and guidance on using the registration, declaration and reporting system on the National EPR Electronic Information Portal, manufacturers and importers can scan the QR code provided on this Portal.
A representative of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said that before officially operating the National EPR Portal, the Ministry had organized the construction and trial operation in practice for manufacturers and importers to register, declare and provide comments for completion and updating. The official operation of the National EPR Portal will help manufacturers and importers to register, declare and report on the implementation of product and packaging recycling responsibilities and waste treatment responsibilities in accordance with the law.
In addition to registering, declaring and reporting on the National EPR Portal, manufacturers and importers can access this Portal to update information on legal regulations and legal answers related to the implementation of product and packaging recycling responsibilities and waste treatment responsibilities.
