Portrait of the new principal of the largest medical school in the South, born in 1977

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, on the morning of October 19, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to recognize the school's President for the 2020-2025 term.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen presented the decision to recognize Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat - Vice Rector in charge of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy to hold the position of Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy for the term 2020 - 2025.

Since November 2020 - the time when Professor Tran Diep Tuan, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy resigned and became Chairman of the University Council, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy now has a new rector.

Thus, up to now, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy consists of 3 members: Principal Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat and 2 Vice Principals Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh.

In April 2023, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat was awarded the decision to take charge of and operate Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
