Taking care of Tet for policy families and ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances in Ha Giang province

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, on the afternoon of January 22, General Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army inspected combat readiness; visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, people of all ethnic groups, officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Ha Giang province.

On behalf of the Party leadership, the Central Military Commission Standing Committee, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Luong Cuong commended, acknowledged, and congratulated the achievements of the Party Committee, people of all ethnic groups, and armed forces of Ha Giang province in 2023.

General Luong Cuong expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang province for their constant attention, leadership, direction and creation of favorable conditions for the armed forces stationed in the area to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

2024 is an important year for completing the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, and the year of many important national celebrations...

Therefore, General Luong Cuong suggested that the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang province continue to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW of the Politburo on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Northern midland and mountainous region to 2030, with a vision to 2045, and the Resolution of the 17th Ha Giang Provincial Party Congress.

The province accelerates the construction of connecting transport infrastructure, synchronously and effectively implements national target programs; promotes potentials and strengths, creates breakthroughs to successfully complete the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period, bringing prosperity to people in the northernmost border of the country.

In the immediate future, Ha Giang will focus on making careful and thorough preparations so that people can celebrate the traditional Tet holiday happily, safely and warmly. Ha Giang will continue to pay more attention to policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances so that every family and every person can have Tet.

General Luong Cuong requested that the armed forces of Ha Giang province strictly implement the Resolution of the Central Military Commission and Party committees at all levels on leading military and defense tasks and Party building in 2024; thoroughly grasp the Party and State's guidelines and policies on socio-economic development combined with defense and security in the new situation.

In particular, enhancing the combat strength of the armed forces to meet the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland; promoting the core role in performing local defense and military tasks; maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a favorable environment for Ha Giang to develop sustainably.

The armed forces in the province have strengthened measures to ensure that the 2024 Lunar New Year is joyful, healthy, safe, economical and highly combat-ready. The armed forces coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to take care of the people, especially policy families, poor households, and ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances, during Tet.

On this occasion, General Luong Cuong presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the armed forces in Ha Giang province, families of policy beneficiaries, exemplary meritorious people, poor households, and workers in difficult circumstances.
