He said he has two children. One daughter lives in Rayong and still visits him. Meanwhile, the other son lives in Nakhon Ratchasima and has not visited him for nearly 10 years.

Because he missed his son, despite being blind in one eye, the old father was determined to find his son. At the end of November 2024, the journey to find his son began, he went to Nakhon Ratchasima, about 240km from his hometown Phanasnikhom, Chon Buri.

However, when she arrived, she discovered that he had moved away a long time ago. Despite asking around the neighbors, she still had no clue about her son.

When leaving home, sometimes he took a car, sometimes he walked to find his son. But after spending all the 2,000 baht (more than 1.5 million VND) he brought with him, he only had 8 baht (more than 6,000 VND) left in his pocket. With no other choice, he walked back to his hometown in Phanasnikhom, Chon Buri.

Throughout this journey, he faced many difficulties and challenges. He walked with a cane, resting at any point along the way, sometimes just on the porch or a corner of the road. Along the way, he received help and sharing from kind strangers.

They gave him food and water, and some even gave him clothes and coats to keep him warm on cold nights. "Many people gave me food and water. Some people even gave me clothes and warm coats," he shared.

One of his memorable stories was receiving help from a local who lived near a temple. He said that this person gave him a box of soy milk, 20 baht (more than 15,000 VND) and a boxed meal.

The old man’s story spread on social media and received a lot of attention from internet users. Many people were moved by his situation and actions. A local man helped him buy a bus ticket to get home safely. The bus owner also reduced the fare to help him.

Although she has been helped to return home, her journey to find her son is not over yet. Authorities are assisting her in the search for her son who has been missing for many years.
