The Football Association of Thailand has imposed heavy penalties on members of the Thai U22 team who participated in the brawl at the 32nd SEA Games final. Accordingly, the Investigation Committee of the Football Association of Thailand has released documents on the incident. The two players Sophonwit and Teerapak were suspended from playing for the national teams for 6 months.
Three members of the coaching staff were also punished, namely goalkeeper coach Chokchok Chokmoh, and two team officials Mayid Madada and Patrawut Wongsripuek. They were suspended from national team duties for one year. These people received heavier punishments because, according to the Football Association of Thailand, they are experienced and qualified and must set an example for the players.
