In early 2024, the Center will officially come into operation on the basis of merging the Economic Development Office under the Department of Planning and Investment, the Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center under the Department of Industry and Trade and the Tourism Promotion Information Center under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Center is responsible for advising and implementing investment promotion programs; consulting and supporting investment, receiving investment dossiers, transferring them to the presiding agency for processing and coordinating to create favorable conditions for procedures to promote investment attraction and project implementation in the area as well as enhancing trade and tourism promotion to maximize the province's advantages in this field.
Mr. Truong Van Tien, Director of the Center, said: Immediately after coming into operation, the Center promptly completed its apparatus, organization and personnel, and immediately implemented investment, trade and tourism promotion activities in the province. Supporting and creating the best conditions for businesses and investors to operate in the province is the top priority of the Center. With the motto of action "Professional, accompanying, effective", the Center actively innovates content and methods, creating strong changes in investment, trade and tourism promotion; focusing on consulting, investment support, and business support; promptly guiding and supporting investors in the process of implementing steps from survey to completing investment dossiers, in order to shorten the time to implement investment procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for investors to confidently implement projects and develop sustainably.

Regarding domestic investment promotion, in 2024, the Center advised the Provincial People's Committee to approve a list of 55 priority projects calling for investment in Ninh Thuan province as a basis for calling for investment; coordinated with relevant departments and branches to successfully organize the Conference to announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; completed related legal procedures, qualified to advise the Provincial People's Committee to grant investment policies for 7 projects and sign memorandums of understanding for 7 projects with a total investment of more than 120,000 billion VND. Advised the Provincial People's Committee to receive and work with over 20 investors coming to seek investment opportunities in the province. Thereby, the Center introduced the potentials, advantages of the province and priority projects calling for investment, focusing on projects in the Southern key economic zone and other tourism and energy projects. At the same time, research the shifting trend and anticipate the investment shift from the southern provinces (Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City...) to carry out consulting activities and attract investment to Ninh Thuan for a number of projects such as hydrogen, tourism, wind power, agriculture, aquaculture and urban areas.
The Center has also supported enterprises to participate in supply-demand connection conferences, investment promotion, tourism fairs; thereby supporting 195 enterprises to participate in displaying, introducing, and connecting products at events; supporting 94 enterprises to participate in the province's e-commerce platform, introducing 368 products; training on e-commerce promotion, guiding tourism operations for over 240 leaders and managers of enterprises. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang, Director of Thai Thuan - Ninh Thuan Agricultural Products Production and Trading Company Limited, said: Participating in tourism promotion activities organized by the Center has helped enterprises and cooperatives connect with more partners, investment opportunities, expand markets, and competitiveness for sustainable development... Local specialty products after being listed on the e-commerce platform have been known by many partners and customers and have signed contracts to supply products, creating high competitive value. As our company annually supplies the market with about 500 tons of apples and over 200 tons of fresh grapes according to VietGAP standards.
In addition to promoting domestic tourism, the Center has been focusing on attracting international tourist markets, especially markets from Korea, through organizing promotional events and connecting with Korean tourism associations such as Wonju Province, Jeju City, Gwangju, etc. As a result, tour routes have begun to form. In addition to the tourist market from Korea, Ninh Thuan province also organizes conferences to promote and advertise tourism to localities in China, India, the Netherlands, Germany, etc., which are countries with large and potential tourist numbers. Typically, in May 2024, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Delegation had a program to survey and promote tourism in China, in which the delegation met and worked with the Sichuan Tourism Alliance (China). During the working trip, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Sichuan Tourism Alliance (China) on developing tourism tours for businesses on both sides. In early June 2024, the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee organized a conference to connect tourism businesses in Ninh Thuan and Kerala state, India. The Center advised the Provincial People's Committee to approve the Project to participate in the local promotion program in the Netherlands - Germany.
Mr. Truong Van Tien, Director of the Center added: In addition to investment promotion activities, the Center has also focused on consulting, supporting and removing difficulties and obstacles for economic projects in the province, especially the driving projects. Grasping the business situation, difficulties and obstacles of 250 enterprises and investors in the province. Thereby, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles for 37 enterprises; coordinating with localities, agencies and enterprises to develop and complete 13 projects under local industrial promotion programs, using energy economically and efficiently, sustainable production and consumption.
