"My husband and I only have Nghi, her father has passed away so the house is just the two of us together. Now that my son is in the army, I will definitely miss him a lot, but I told him to rest assured and go on his mission, to try his best to fulfill his duty as a soldier," Xuan Nghi's mother confided. Minh Phu expressed: "The military environment will have many difficulties and challenges, but we are not afraid but more excited, because we can train, experience, and learn many life experiences to become more mature and grown up." Mr. Le Van Tuong - father of Nhat and Phu - said that his two sons had graduated from high school and volunteered to join the army, and the family was a bit worried. However, the family was very happy that their two sons had mature thinking. Before their sons left for the army, he told them to strive to complete their tasks well. After that, if the unit created conditions, both of them would try to study for the military school entrance exam so that they could serve long-term in the army. From Bac Lieu to Soc Trang to visit her two grandchildren before the day of farewell, Mrs. Tran Thi Dung (69 years old) confided: "I feel very sorry for my grandchildren joining the army because they have never lived far from home. I am very proud that my grandchildren have aspirations and early awareness of their homeland and country."
