Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh, Deputy General Director of BOT Phap Van - Cau Gie Joint Stock Company, said that from around 7am on September 10, Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway through Thuong Tin District was heavily flooded due to water from downstream areas and the service road overflowing. The emergency lane and lane number 2 in both directions were flooded, causing a traffic jam of about 2-3 km.

To limit vehicles entering the highway, traffic police sometimes have to separate traffic and prohibit vehicles from circulating to ensure safety for drivers.

Vehicles traveling from Phap Van to Cau Gie are required to turn around in front of the Phap Van toll station to go to Highway 1. In the Cau Gie to Phap Van direction, the Van Diem area to the highway is also closed, and vehicles are directed to go to Highway 1.

As soon as the water recedes, the highway will be reopened.

Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway is the main artery south of Hanoi , with an average current traffic volume of about 60,000 vehicles per day and night.

This morning, National Highway 1, Thang Long Avenue, National Highway 6 and many central streets of Hanoi were also heavily flooded after heavy rain last night.

On the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, through Lao Cai province, some locations have landslides, rocks and soil have spilled onto the road surface, affecting traffic.
