According to SGGP Newspaper's reporter on the evening of October 13, after heavy rain, National Highway 1K, the section bordering Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai Province) and Di An City (Binh Duong Province) was partially flooded.

Specifically, due to heavy rain, the above-mentioned area was deeply flooded, people doing business along National Highway 1K had to use plastic barrels to prevent water from entering their houses, and at some intersections from National Highway 1K into residential areas, the water flowed strongly, swirling and causing danger to pedestrians.

Vehicles wade through flooded areas on National Highway 1K, bordering Dong Nai and Binh Duong.

Mr. Nguyen Bao (born in 1980, residing in Tan Binh commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province) had a family matter so he had to return to Di An city, but when passing through National Highway 1K, the water rose high, his car had to wade through the flooded area. Mr. Bao was upset: "This area is often flooded because the drainage system is degraded, unable to drain water, while the amount of household waste in residential areas is very large, often filling up some areas along the road, which is also the cause of flooding".

Mr. Doan Xuan Hoang, a resident of Hoa An Apartment (Hoa An Ward, Bien Hoa City), said that the press and public have reported many reports about flooding every time it rains, but so far the authorities have not taken any measures to fix it. Mr. Hoang hopes that the central ministries and agencies will coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Transport of Dong Nai Province to find ways to repair and upgrade the drainage system on the above section of National Highway 1k.

After discovering the flooding, authorities were present to direct traffic and guide pedestrians away from dangerous areas, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

In Binh Duong, on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street and National Highway 1K (Di An City), many sections were flooded, making it difficult for people to move. Some cars lost their license plates and were swept away by the water. Members of the Di An SOS team kept them to hand over the license plates to the car owners.

Flooding makes it difficult for passersby

On Highway 746, through Tan Uyen City (Binh Duong Province), the water was flooded and flowing strongly, causing many motorbikes to fall over. Although it was dark, many people had to stop on the side of the road, waiting for the rain to stop and the water to recede before continuing their journey.

In Thu Dau Mot City alone, heavy rain and strong winds caused trees to fall; fortunately there were no casualties.
