At the same time, it is also an area that subjects take advantage of to conduct illegal activities such as smuggling, trade fraud, illegal border crossing, and illegal entry by sea.

During the patrol, the Vietnam Coast Guard actively propagated and informed dozens of fishing boats operating in the border sea area to strictly comply with regulations on IUU fishing in order to contribute to removing the yellow card of the European Commission (EC) and developing the Vietnamese fisheries industry in a sustainable manner.
From 2024, the Coast Guards of the two countries will conduct joint patrols in the border waters once a quarter to regularly maintain security and order, and ensure compliance with the law by the people of the two countries. This contributes to preserving and developing the traditional friendly neighborly relationship between the two countries and peoples in general and between the Vietnam - China Coast Guards in particular. |
