The four artists of group T5 have four different styles. They are not the same age, not the same strengths in artistic work, but they share a passion for painting, empathy in the creative process, as well as a perspective on contemporary life.
This is the fifth time they have organized a joint painting exhibition. With nearly 40 works in lacquer, oil and acrylic, the artists have immersed viewers in an artistic space, allowing them to contemplate different slices and colors of life.
Bui Trong Du's paintings have a strong folk character (Photo: TD).
Among them, Bui Trong Du is famous for his series of paintings of lotus flowers and young girls singing Ca Tru, his paintings are imbued with folklore. This year, he exploits the spring landscape with the space of the Northwest mountains.
Villages immersed in mist and filled with white plum blossoms are decorated with silver and eggshells on brilliant lacquer. Trong Du masters the material to exploit simple yet refined and graphic images.
Paintings by artist Pham Hong Phuong seem to take viewers back to the old Vietnamese countryside (Photo: HP).
The paintings of artist Pham Hong Phuong show a peaceful, poetic Vietnam. He uses lacquer, a traditional material that is luxurious and splendid, but also very difficult to master.
Hong Phuong's paintings do not show off techniques or overuse materials, but each line, shape, and color comes naturally, and the expression of emotions is full. With the calm color of lacquer, the old roofs, the shadows of banyan trees, and the simple, rustic figures of the villagers make our souls dream of a distant land, a distant time.

Artist Nguyen Lam came to the T5 group exhibition this time with a series of landscape paintings in cool acrylic material. Nguyen Lam kept in his soul deep memories of the land where he was born and raised, so the landscapes of forests, mountains, countryside, flowers and grass in his paintings are as natural as breathing, like the beating of the heart.
The exhibition will take place from December 8 to December 13, at the Exhibition House 29 Hang Bai (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).
