The Chinook service connecting Vietnam and the Pacific Northwest, operated by MSC, will shorten the time, bringing great benefits to customers.
On February 11, a representative of Saigon Port International Container Services Joint Venture Company - SSA (SSIT port) said that the MSC AURORA/UK507A ship of the Chinook service connecting Vietnam and the Northwest Pacific, operated by MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company), had just successfully docked at SSIT port.

MSC AURORA is one of 10 vessels in the fleet deployed for this service. Chinook is MSC's new independent service after the 2M alliance, connecting goods between Vietnam and China with the United States, sailing from the West Coast of North America via major ports in the Pacific Northwest with a schedule from SSIT - Hai Phong - Yantian - Shanghai - Qingdao - Busan - Seattle - Vancouver - Prince Rupert - SSIT.
The Chinook Service connects cargo from Vietnam and China to the United States faster, while increasing carrier capacity to meet market demand and bringing greater benefits to both American consumers and customers.
MSC is currently the world's largest shipping line and one of the leading businesses in the field of global shipping and logistics, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
SSIT Port has a land area of 60ha and 655m of wharf, designed to handle large container ships with a capacity of 200,000 DWT and modern container handling equipment, equipped with some of the largest STS cranes in Vietnam.
In addition, the port also has a 435m dedicated wharf for barge loading and unloading, connecting goods from Cai Mep area with inland container ports and other ICDs in neighboring areas, including Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Binh Duong.
SSIT Port is designed to handle large container ships with a capacity of 200,000 DWT.
