Since 2020, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, along with the economic recession and competition from seaports, has caused Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company to face many difficulties.
Determined to adapt to new conditions, taking difficulties as opportunities, challenging the will and determination of the collective leadership, cadres and workers, Nghe Tinh Port has organized many important meetings, grasped the instructions of superiors, proactively changed the leadership method at the unit to achieve important results, create revenue, jobs for workers and exploit the potential strengths of the locality.

With software, ideas, along with timely instructions from leaders, flexible response to the epidemic situation, especially market fluctuations, the leadership and direction of the unit has had positive innovations, in line with the trend.
The rules, production processes, and management regulations are regularly renewed and improved to bring about efficiency. The company's means and equipment have been invested and supplemented to meet the requirements of loading and unloading goods and releasing ships quickly, so labor productivity has gradually increased.
Currently, the Company has successfully deployed the cargo registration application (E-port) on the software to facilitate customers. Awakening youth, promoting the role of workers
Among many milestones in implementing resolutions from superiors, the leaders of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company led the implementation of Resolution No. 25-NQ/TW (10th term) on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization".

Responding to the "Workers' Month" 2023 launched by the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, with the theme "Strengthening the development of safe working procedures and measures and improving working conditions, reducing stress in the workplace", the Trade Union and Youth Union have practical activities in response.
Specifically: The Youth Union has organized programs for young workers in the company, such as: "Youth Workers' Festival", "Day of Accompanying Young Workers", creating a useful and healthy playground; The Trade Union launched the "Green - Clean - Beautiful" movement, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene and fire prevention.
“Workers’ Month” at the port has achieved many encouraging results: Well organized general cleaning of warehouses, yards, workshops, offices, clearing sewers, drainage ditches, on-site toilets, workers’ washrooms, and manholes to prevent flooding. Increased watering and humidification of dusty areas during loading and unloading and of vehicles moving around the port; Collecting waste at the port, waste from ships and boats in the right places; Planning cargo staging areas in reasonable locations, far from residential areas.
Bulk cargo staging areas are covered with tarpaulins to prevent and limit dust dispersion during loading and unloading. Re-planning the areas, planting more ornamental trees to create a clean environment in the port. Units have installed a 9-meter high dust-proof net system surrounding the fence near the residential area of the rear yard of wharfs 1 and 2 and a misting system to create humidity to limit dust dispersion.
In addition, check and install additional signs, fire prevention and fighting regulations, add more electric fans in warehouse areas, repair shops and provide more ice for production forces at the two units to reduce the heat.
The Occupational Safety and Health Council (OSH) in coordination with the Trade Union has organized specific instructions on skills, safe working procedures, rights, obligations and responsibilities of employers and employees in OSH and occupational accident regimes; Strengthened the organization of OSH inspections and self-inspections at units in loading and unloading goods and jobs with high risks.
The port organizes assessment and management of occupational safety and hygiene risks at production sites at Cua Lo and Ben Thuy loading and unloading enterprises; periodically monitors the environment. Leaders and trade unions regularly visit and encourage workers who have occupational accidents and diseases, do a good job of emulation and rewards in the whole unit and dialogue between leaders and workers.
In the past half term, despite many challenges, the staff and workers of Nghe Tinh Port have united in patriotic emulation, doing well in social security work; protecting the environment; developing the economy combined with ensuring national security.
In the 2023-2025 period, Nghe Tinh Port will continue to actively transform digitally and integrate into the international economy; promote and exploit internal potential, attract external resources. Nghe Tinh Port invests in upgrading and developing Cua Lo Port, the enterprise has a new step of development, ensuring jobs and livelihoods for workers and achieving the set goals.
Currently, the Party Committee of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company is under the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines under the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc. The Party Committee of Nghe Tinh Port has 5 Party cells with a total of 149 party members; a total of 421 employees. In 2020, Nghe Tinh Port's revenue reached 205.8 billion VND, in 2022, revenue was 198.9 billion VND, reaching 103% of the plan. In the first 6 months of 2023, revenue reached 105.8 billion VND, equal to 102% of the year's plan.
