In 2022, Hanoi approved the Investment Project to build a grade-separated intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue (section through Hoai Duc district). The project has a total investment of more than VND 2,400 billion from the state budget, invested by the Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in the period of 2022 - 2026.

According to the design, the direct tunnel is built in the direction of Ring Road 3.5 (Le Trong Tan Street - now Hoang Tung) - National Highway 32 with a total length of 975 m, width of 18.5 m. Four branch bridges made of prestressed reinforced concrete with a total length of more than 2,300 m, bridge width of 8.8 m, reinforced concrete retaining wall longer than 600 m.

The factory is operating in the area where the intersection of Ring Road 3.5 - Thang Long Avenue is about to be built.

Although construction started in 2019, the section from Km5+020 - Km5+300 has not yet been handed over due to the Vuon Chuoi archaeological site.

The Ring Road 3.5 section (Hoang Tung Street) has been completed and put into use.

The two routes passing through here are currently arranged with 10 lanes.

It is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, the investor will be handed over 100% of the clean site to complete the project.

According to the report of the Hoai Duc District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Ring Road 3.5 project (phase 1), which started on October 28, 2017, has so far achieved an estimated 90% of the contracted volume.

In phase 2, which started on January 28, 2019, the project implementation volume is estimated to reach about 80%. Phase 3, implementation period from 2022-2025 (started on June 30, 2023), has so far completed about 40% of the volume.

When completed, the project is expected to complete the infrastructure system, reduce traffic congestion and serve the needs of goods circulation, contributing to accelerating the formation of urban areas in the region...
