This year, the total university enrollment target of military academies and schools is 5,212 candidates.

Of which, the early admission target is 2,191 candidates; up to now, the number of registered candidates is 2,527; 952 candidates have been admitted, reaching 43.45% of the target.

College admission, total quota of 150 candidates, early admission quota of 62 candidates, 32 candidates registered, 21 candidates were admitted, reaching 33.87% of the quota.

This year's military university and college entrance exam has two new points. First, military schools have added two admission methods: considering high school transcripts and considering the results of the competency assessment exam of two national universities.

Second, allow 2 schools to enroll in college level: Military Technical College I and Information Technology College.

Enrollment target for 2024 of 17 military schools is 5,212, an increase of nearly 900 targets compared to 2023 and maintaining 4 enrollment methods.

The first method is direct admission, priority admission and admission of excellent high school students, not exceeding 15% of the target.

Method 2, admission based on high school transcripts, no more than 10% of the quota for high school graduates with a total score of 7.0 or higher for each year of high school and a total score of subjects in the school's admission combination for each school year of 7.5 or higher.

However, the Military Technical Academy and the Military Medical Academy have not used this method for admission.

Method 3, admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by domestic universities, not exceeding 20% ​​of the quota for candidates: with the competency assessment exam results of Hanoi National University from 75/150 points or higher or with the competency assessment exam results of Ho Chi Minh City National University from 600/1200 points or higher.

Method 4, admission based on high school graduation exam results.

The Ministry of National Defense will organize preliminary selection starting from March 15. Candidates applying for admission to military universities and colleges must pass the preliminary selection and meet the standards set by the Ministry of National Defense.

In case of young people outside the Army, the preliminary selection is at the Military Recruitment Board at the district, town, city level under the province. In-service soldiers are preliminary selected at the Military Recruitment Board at the regimental level and equivalent.

Candidates should note that they can only apply for admission to one military school. During the application period, candidates are allowed to adjust their application to other military schools without having to transfer their application to the school they are applying for.
