This afternoon, August 19, a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that the ministry has given universities 2 more days to filter out fake candidates, and increased the number of times to filter out fake candidates. Accordingly, it will take at least 2 more days for the universities to announce the standard scores.
According to the new plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities will announce their admission scores at the earliest on the afternoon of August 22.
Previously, on March 30, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a plan to implement university and college admissions for preschool education in 2023. On April 28, the Ministry of Education and Training continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 1919/BGDĐT-GDĐH guiding this work based on the above plan.
According to Official Dispatch No. 1919, from August 12 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, universities will upload data and admission information to the system; organize admission of candidates' registered wishes to their units corresponding to the data provided by candidates to serve admission to groups of majors, majors or training programs; process admission wishes (virtual filtering) on the system to determine the highest wish among the admission wishes for which candidates are eligible to be admitted.
During the above 9 days, universities will conduct virtual filtering 6 times. The last virtual filtering will end at 2:00 p.m. on August 20. Then, in the afternoon of August 20, universities will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system; review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule. This activity will end before 5:00 p.m. on August 20, after which the universities must announce the benchmark scores, the announcement of the first round of admission benchmark scores must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
With the new adjustment of the Ministry of Education and Training, the virtual filtering will last until 2:00 p.m. on August 22. After that, schools will do the next steps to announce the benchmark scores.
Regarding the reason for adjusting the plan, the Ministry of Education and Training explained: "In 2023, the general admission support system provides more data sources to support schools in using multiple admission methods in the first round, and candidates only register for admission by major (not by combination and admission method). Therefore, schools need more time than expected to complete the admission process."
