On the occasion of attending the 15th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF Dalian 2024) and working in China, on the morning of June 27 (local time), in Beijing, China, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of several leading Chinese corporations in the fields of infrastructure development, energy, and environment.
Meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa, founder of Pacific Construction Group, Chairman of the Trang Nghiem Research Institute and leaders of Pacific Construction Group said that the Group is the world's leading private enterprise in the construction and engineering industry. In 2023, Pacific achieved revenue of 79.478 billion USD, profit of 5.188 billion USD.

In Vietnam, this Group has researched and participated in projects to build Tu Lien Bridge, the Hanoi urban railway section Van Cao - Ngoc Khanh - Lang - Hoa Lac... Pacific Group hopes that the Vietnamese Government will direct the acceleration of the search for innovative cooperation models, accelerate the attraction of foreign investment and implementation into specific projects, with more preferential policies for construction enterprises.
Appreciating the effective and sustainable investment and business activities of Pacific Construction Group globally in general and in Vietnam in particular, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam is actively improving its institutions, creating a truly open and favorable investment and business environment and appropriate incentive policies, especially in investment attraction fields.
Welcoming the Group's initiative in making cooperation proposals to support Vietnam in developing policies and plans to attract Chinese investors in particular and foreign investors in general to Vietnam, the Prime Minister asked the Group to continue to exchange and coordinate with Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities to research and seek new investment opportunities and expand investment in Vietnam.
In the immediate future, coordinate with Hanoi city and the Ministry of Transport to study and cooperate in implementing the construction of the Van Cao - Hoa Lac urban railway line, Hanoi, based on the principle of "harmonious benefits and shared risks", and at the same time coordinate with localities of Vietnam, especially the northern border provinces, to cooperate in infrastructure development.
The Prime Minister said that the Vietnamese Government always accompanies, supports, and creates favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises in general and the Pacific Construction Group in particular to implement sustainable, effective, and successful business investment projects, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
On the same morning, the Prime Minister received Mr. Nghiem Thanh Quan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and senior officials of Thien Doanh Group - a multinational corporation operating in the fields of new carbon-free energy, smart environmental services and recycling; in Vietnam, the Group has invested in 4 waste-to-energy projects in Hanoi, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, with a total investment of about 800 million USD.

Mr. Nghiem Thanh Quan said that Thien Doanh will continue to go deeper into the environmental field to be able to realize the closed chain goal, and at the same time expand to potential fields such as: wind power, solar power, stored energy, green hydrogen... Thien Doanh wishes to join Vietnam in classifying and treating waste nationwide, implementing solar power, wind power, green hydrogen projects in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Thien Doanh's effective and sustainable business investment activities in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular, and welcomed the Group's plan to expand investment and business in Vietnam in the fields of environment and green and clean energy.
According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam is a country with great potential for developing renewable energy such as wind and solar power; at the same time, it is a market with great energy demand to serve socio-economic development in the coming period.
Regarding the VIII Power Plan and related mechanisms and policies for the electricity sector, the Prime Minister asked the Group to continue to cooperate and support Vietnam in proposing new investment ideas and projects; and to research cooperation in Vietnam's priority areas where the Group has strengths such as waste treatment, renewable energy, hydrogen power, etc.
Along with that, the Group cooperates in investing and forming energy industrial centers associated with concentrated industrial parks, processing and manufacturing centers; develops the energy equipment manufacturing industry: electric energy storage equipment, recovery, absorption and storage technology, etc.; cooperates and develops human resources in the fields of power generation, transmission, distribution, dispatching, smart grid, etc.
