Apple CEO Tim Cook drank coffee in the Old Quarter, walked around Hoan Kiem and visited a film studio on the morning of April 15.
"Hello, Vietnam," Tim Cook wrote on social network X at 11:20 a.m. on April 15, with a photo of him drinking coffee with singers My Linh and My Anh.
“And I love egg coffee,” he wrote.
Then, he led a group of about 7 people, starting a walk from Hanoi Post Office on Dinh Tien Hoang Street. He wore a simple T-shirt, happily greeting everyone along the way.
Tim Cook took a souvenir photo in front of Turtle Tower. "Hoan Kiem Lake is beautiful and a symbol of Hanoi," he shared on X.
He chatted with tech KOL Duy Tham. "It was great spending time with Duy and watching his creative process using Cinematic mode on the iPhone 15 Pro," he said.
Tim Cook said the purpose of his first trip to Vietnam was to meet with programmers, content creators and visit schools. "I was surprised by the energy of young Vietnamese people," said the Apple CEO.
"There is no place like Vietnam, a vibrant and beautiful country," Tim Cook shared.
Apple representatives also said that during Tim Cook's trip, the company will strengthen its commitment to Vietnam, increase spending on suppliers, along with new progress in the clean water support initiative for local schools.
Tim Cook crossed the street to leave Hoan Kiem Lake at 11:31.
This afternoon, Apple CEO will meet with director Phuong Vu and Antiantiart studio, some programmers and artist Suboi.
Tim Cook was born in 1960 and joined Apple in March 1998 as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations and later Executive Vice President. He was appointed CEO of Apple in August 2011.
After taking the top role, Tim Cook quickly demonstrated his leadership ability by helping Apple double its revenue and profit from 2011 to 2020. By 2023, Apple became the first company in the world to reach a market capitalization of 3,000 billion USD. Under Tim Cook, Apple launched completely new technology products such as the Apple Watch and Vision Pro virtual reality glasses.
