Latin American political parties want to learn from Vietnam's anti-corruption experience

On the evening of October 6 local time, General Secretary of the Mexican Labor Party (PT) Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez had a meeting and solemnly hosted the Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Thai Hoc, who was visiting and attending the international conference "Political Parties and a New Society" in Mexico.

Here, Mr. Alberto Anaya introduced the Communist Party of Vietnam since its establishment, leading the people to fight to defeat colonialism and imperialism, gain national independence, and protect territorial integrity. Vietnam has transformed from a poor, backward country, heavily affected by war, into a rich and powerful country, with an increasingly important position and role in the region and the world.

The Party General Secretary expressed his admiration and respect for the glorious and indomitable revolutionary history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and his admiration and respect for President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap.

No matter how difficult it is, the Communist Party of Vietnam is always steadfast in its goal of building socialism, so sooner or later it will lead Vietnam to become a socialist power, worthy of being a model and example for left-wing parties and progressive movements in Latin America and Mexico to learn from and follow.

Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Thai Hoc and the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam expressed their sincere gratitude for the special affection that Mr. Alberto Anaya, the left-wing parties, the progressive people of Mexico and the Latin American region have always had for Vietnam in history as well as at present.

Historically, Mr. Alberto Anaya took to the streets to protest the US war in Vietnam. This is the answer to the questions of many delegates as to why the General Secretary of the Mexican PT Party always gave preferential treatment to the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam during their visit and participation in the conference in Mexico.

Coming to the conference and the beautiful country of Mexico, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc and the Vietnamese delegation brought a very special gift.

That was the greeting, the greeting and the book “Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong” sent to General Secretary Alberto Anaya with the dedication: “Dedicated to comrade Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, General Secretary of the Mexican Labor Party, a close, devoted and loyal friend and comrade of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people. Wishing you and your family good health, happiness and success. Warm greetings and victory!”.

At the same time, on this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc also introduced the thoughts and guiding viewpoints of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the fight against corruption and negativity resolutely, persistently, without rest, without stopping, without any forbidden areas, without exceptions, regardless of who that person is, in order to build and rectify a clean and strong Party.

Moved by the special gift, the General Secretary of the Mexican Labor Party expressed his sincere thanks to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

Recalling the memory of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong receiving the PT Party delegation visiting Vietnam while he was being treated in the hospital, General Secretary Alberto Anaya expressed his special affection for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who is extremely loved by the Vietnamese people.

Also within the framework of the visit to Mexico and participation in the International Conference “Political Parties and a New Society”, on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc and the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico had a working session with Ms. Carmen Moreno Toscano, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico and Congresswoman Sofia Carvajal, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

Through contacts and exchanges, political parties highly appreciated the fight against corruption in Vietnam and wished to learn from its experiences.

On the occasion of his working visit to Mexico, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc and the Vietnamese delegation visited and exchanged information and domestic situation with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico; hoping that the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico will make efforts to overcome difficulties, successfully fulfill its mission of representing the rights and interests of the State and people of Vietnam in Mexico, and promote good relations between Vietnam and Mexico.

Vietnam supports left-wing, progressive movements in Latin America

The Communist Party of Vietnam's participation in the conference "Political Parties and a New Society" demonstrates solidarity and consistent support for left-wing and progressive political parties and movements in Latin America as well as around the world.
