Can Loc district (Ha Tinh) continues to mobilize the entire political system, implement policies and resolutions of the Central, the province and the district, striving to complete and exceed the targets set in 2024.
On the morning of December 9, the Party Executive Committee of Can Loc District held a conference to evaluate the situation and results of leadership in implementing tasks in 2023; and deploy tasks in 2024.
District Party Secretary Nghiem Sy Dong and Standing members of the District Party Committee chaired the conference.
With the proactive and flexible leadership, direction, and management, and the efforts of the Party Committee and the People, in 2023, Can Loc's socio-economic indicators achieved many remarkable results. People's lives are stable; political security and social order and safety are ensured; Party building and organizations in the political system are strengthened.
In the economic field, the total cultivated area reached more than 21,500 hectares, grain output reached more than 106,300 tons (103.4% of the plan); the average rice yield reached 57.88 quintals/ha, rice output reached more than 105,000 tons. The district continued to promote the implementation of the land concentration project, forming large-scale production areas; by the end of 2023, the land concentration reached 5,924 hectares/9,178 hectares, accounting for 65% of the district's rice production area, 15% higher than the target set in the resolution.

The total value of the trade and service sector at current prices is estimated at VND922 billion, up 8.3% over the same period last year. Budget revenue in the area is estimated at VND240 billion, reaching 175.18% of the plan assigned by the province and equal to 160.0% of the plan assigned by the District People's Council; budget expenditures basically meet the implementation of tasks; disbursement of public investment capital is promoted.
Basic construction investment is being implemented according to plan, with the total value of basic construction investment in 2023 estimated at VND 2,965.4 billion. The North-South Expressway site clearance work has been focused on and directed resolutely. Up to now, Can Loc is one of the localities in the province determined to hand over the site to the Thang Long Project Management Board as soon as possible, achieving the set plan. Infrastructure of resettlement areas in the communes of Quang Loc, Son Loc, Kim Song Truong, Trung Loc and relocation of pumping stations and power lines has been completed at 100% of the plan.
The new rural development program continues to be focused on, and Vuong Loc commune has been recognized as a commune that meets advanced new rural standards. Through review, Can Loc has 21/38 sub-criteria meeting the criteria of an advanced new rural district, reaching 55%.
Culture and education have many outstanding results; social security and job creation have improved; National Defense and Security are ensured.
There have been many innovations in the work of building the Party and the political system. The work of inspection, supervision, enforcement of Party discipline, internal affairs, and anti-corruption and waste prevention have been tightened; mass mobilization work and activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have been strengthened.
At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing the causes, proposing a number of solutions to overcome difficulties in 2023, and at the same time discussing directions and solutions to effectively implement policies and tasks in 2023.
Chairman of the District People's Committee Dang Tran Phong: Can Loc will continue to make efforts and persevere in implementing the goal of building an advanced new-style rural district by 2025.
Secretary of Can Loc District Party Committee Nghiem Sy Dong emphasized that in the coming time, localities will continue to organize and implement policies and resolutions, especially the district's resolutions, in a practical, complete and timely manner; promote the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility of cadres and party members.
In the immediate future, localities need to promptly deploy the work of summarizing the 2023 tasks to ensure substance, not formality, in which it is necessary to clarify the achieved targets and goals, analyze the causes of existing problems and limitations to find ways to overcome them; continue to tighten the work of ensuring security and order before, during and after Tet; advise and call for resources to take care of Tet for the poor and policy families in a timely manner, not missing any subjects.
In 2024, Can Loc district sets the following goals: total cultivated area of 20,732 hectares, total grain output of over 102,779 tons; striving to have 2 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, 1 commune meeting model new rural standards; budget revenue of over 179 billion VND; total value of products of trade and service sector of over 1,000 billion VND; reducing multidimensional poverty rate according to new criteria by at least 0.5%. The district also strives for 100% of grassroots party organizations to be classified as “fulfilling their tasks”, of which 70% will be classified as “fulfilling their tasks well”. The district party committee will be classified as “fulfilling their tasks well” or higher. |
