This morning, July 23, a working delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) led by Party Central Committee member and Minister of MPI Nguyen Chi Dung visited and presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions in Vinh Linh district on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (1947-2024). Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said that in the atmosphere of the whole country organizing many activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, the Ministry of Planning and Investment organized many activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, and presented gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution, war invalids, sick soldiers, and policy beneficiaries in Quang Tri province.
Through these practical and meaningful activities, leaders, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry of Planning and Investment expressed their deep gratitude for the great contributions of families with meritorious services to the revolution and policy beneficiaries in the two resistance wars for national liberation and reunification.
Quang Tri has made many great contributions to the country, but also suffered many losses, pain and difficulties due to the war. Since the war, the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri have made determined, united and creative efforts to overcome the consequences of war, build the province to develop more and more, and improve people's lives in all aspects.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment always accompanies Quang Tri on its development journey as well as doing a good job of showing gratitude and caring for policy beneficiaries.
For Vinh Linh district, the Minister of Planning and Investment congratulated the results achieved in all fields, and expressed his wish that the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Linh district continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, make continuous efforts to build the homeland more and more beautiful; wished the families with meritorious services to the revolution, policy beneficiaries good health, happiness and continue to make more contributions to the construction and development of Vinh Linh district.

On this occasion, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented the inauguration plaque of 10 solidarity houses to policy families in Vinh O commune, with a total value of 700 million VND (supported from November 2023, to date the construction of solidarity houses has been completed); support for social security activities in Vinh Linh district including: 50 million VND to support 3 poverty reduction models, 50 gifts for policy families, 50 million VND to build a model road in Vinh Lam commune.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, members of the working delegation and provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ta Thi Phun and war invalid Le Van Dong, both in Nam Phu village, Trung Nam commune; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Uyen in Quarter 8, Ho Xa town.
At the places he visited, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung kindly asked about the health and economic conditions of the families of Vietnamese heroic mothers and war invalids.
At the same time, it affirmed that: The Party, National Assembly, Government and People of the whole country always pay attention to and remember the great contributions and merits of families with revolutionary contributions, policy beneficiaries in the cause of national liberation, national reunification and construction and development of the homeland.
Wishing families with revolutionary contributions and policy beneficiaries good health, more joy in life, continuing to promote the revolutionary spirit, making more contributions to the construction and development of the homeland and country, and living exemplary lives for their children and grandchildren to follow.

Also on this occasion, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, members of the working delegation and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong solemnly held a ceremony to pay tribute, offer flowers and incense at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery; expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed in the two resistance wars for independence for the Fatherland and freedom for the People.
