The 3rd Engineer Team and the working group at the United Nations Interim Security Mission in Abyei (UNISFA) organized a meeting with soldiers who are teachers working in military schools to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.
The meeting was attended by the command of the 3rd Engineer Corps, the working group at the UNISFA mission, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Abyei region, representatives of the squad commanders and the working group.
On behalf of the 3rd Engineer Team, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hao, commander of the Vietnamese engineering force and captain of the 3rd Engineer Team, reviewed the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers of the Vietnamese people.
At the same time, he expressed gratitude for the contributions of individuals who are teachers working in military schools, working at the UNISFA mission, who have participated in training and improving English for soldiers at Highway base, as well as participating in activities to improve the quality of education for children in the Abyei region.

Accordingly, during more than two terms of service at the UNISFA mission, the Vietnamese Engineering Corps has carried out many civil mobilization activities to help the local government and people build new and consolidate many classrooms, donate teaching equipment to teachers and books, notebooks, school supplies and toys to students.
Through practical activities, the unit was highly appreciated by the Minister of Education and the leaders of the UNISFA mission, leaving a special affection of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the local people.
On this occasion, the 3rd Engineering Team also visited and gave gifts to students at the parish and piloted a computer teaching model at Abyei Secondary School.
This is a meaningful activity to raise awareness of information technology and the application of science and technology in real life. In addition, this is also an activity to enhance the good relationship between the Vietnam People's Army and the local community.
At the meeting, Mr. Aguer Nynhxuan, Minister of Education of Abyei region, expressed his gratitude to the officers and staff of the Vietnamese armed forces for always loving, sharing and helping the local people with the most sincere and profound feelings, especially for the local students to have a bright and happy future like Vietnamese students.
