In the direction of Kupyansk, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces conducted offensive actions and improved the situation along the front line. The group also repelled nine attacks by the 14th, 32nd, 44th and 95th Motorized Assault Brigades (Kiev forces) near Novoselovskoye, Stelmakhovka, Olshana and Sinkovka.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 85 soldiers, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 4 pickup trucks, as well as 2 self-propelled guns: an American-made M109 Paladin and a Polish-made Krab.
Meanwhile, in the Donetsk direction, Russia's Yug Group of Forces repelled five Ukrainian attacks near Krasnogorovka and Nevelskoye. The group also destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian 24th Mechanized Brigade near Toretsk.
250 Ukrainian soldiers, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 vehicles, a US-made M777, 2 D-20 towed guns and a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar were destroyed in this direction, the Russian Defense Ministry informed at a press conference.
In the direction of Krasny Liman, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repulsed the attack of the 67th Motorized Brigade (Kiev forces) near Kuzmino. Up to 55 Ukrainian soldiers, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed.
South of Donetsk, Russia's Vostok Group of Forces launched a series of artillery and rocket attacks on Kiev forces near Staromayorskoye.
According to the Ministry, 140 Ukrainian soldiers, 2 tanks, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles and a US-made M109 self-propelled gun were neutralized in this direction.
In the Zaporozhye direction, two attacks by the 82nd Air Assault Brigade (Ukraine) were repulsed near Rabotino and Verbovoye. Furthermore, two ammunition depots of the 117th Mechanized Brigade were destroyed near Kirovo.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Kiev forces lost up to 170 soldiers, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles and a US-made M777 towed howitzer in this direction.
In addition, 35 Ukrainian soldiers and 5 vehicles were disabled by Russian fire in the Rabotino and Verbovoye directions, 2 ammunition depots of the 117th Mechanized Brigade were destroyed near Kirovo.
Russian sources have also shared videos showing dozens of Ukrainian military vehicles destroyed or damaged in recent fighting in Donetsk, Zaporozhye and several other areas. Losses include two Strela-10 short-range air defense systems, three German-made Leopard 2 tanks, a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and two US-made Stryker armored fighting vehicles.
Despite recent heavy losses, Kiev is unlikely to stop its counter-offensive. The next few days are likely to see larger attacks by Kiev forces, especially in the direction of Zaporozhye.
