On the morning of December 19, in Ha Long City, the Military Command of Quang Ninh Province held a conference to summarize and draw experience from the work of stationing and guarding in 2024. Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, chaired the conference.
Accordingly, in 2024, Army units will coordinate to organize and implement the comprehensive completion of tasks in guarding activities, notably: Strictly maintaining combat readiness, command duty, duty, combat duty, patrol and guard to ensure the safety of agencies and units; developing a combat readiness plan to ensure the safety of political, cultural and social activities of the province; ensuring security and safety for delegations of Party, State, Army leaders and international guests visiting and working in localities and units; ensuring the safety of important events taking place in the province; strictly managing defense land and defense works; participating in the appraisal of 385 socio-economic development projects, associated with strengthening national defense and security...
The provincial armed forces and military units stationed in the area have effectively implemented the movement "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas", participating in thousands of working days, donating nearly 2 billion VND, supporting the construction of dozens of gratitude houses, comrade houses, and great solidarity houses... For the task of preventing and fighting natural disasters, searching and rescuing victims, especially storm No. 3 (Yagi), the provincial Military Command has coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Police, and military units in the area, mobilizing 70,660 officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, over 2,000 vehicles and boats to participate in preventing, fighting, overcoming consequences, and searching and rescuing victims caused by storm No. 3.
Concluding the conference, Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, highly appreciated the results achieved by the units in the past time, and emphasized: In 2025, many major events of the country will take place, so the units need to continue to promote the emulation movement to win, complete the targets of the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and focus on thoroughly implementing the directives and resolutions of the Party, State and Government on national defense and security tasks in the new situation; strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, closely coordinate to effectively implement Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP dated September 5, 2019 of the Government on coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting and preventing crimes and national defense tasks; Strengthen the work of grasping and assessing the situation, promptly reporting and exchanging information, effectively handling situations related to security, order and safety, and national defense tasks to avoid being passive and surprised; continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the emulation movement "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas"; National target program on new rural construction for the period 2021-2025.
