Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that Binh Phuoc, with the advantage of being a later locality, needs to implement the planning in a more synchronous, faster, greener, and more sustainable manner.
Speaking at the conference announcing the Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, held on December 14, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha once again emphasized that Binh Phuoc province has an important strategic geographical position on the new economic corridor, when connecting the economy between the Southeast region with the Central Highlands, the Mekong sub-region and ASEAN.

Therefore, the planning of Binh Phuoc province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, will create new spaces and new resources, turning Binh Phuoc into a modern, prosperous and civilized industrial province.
Since then, it has become one of the important economic growth poles and attractive destinations of the Southeast region.
"I feel very clearly that Binh Phuoc has great potential among the 63 provinces and cities. In the Southeast region, Binh Phuoc is a locality with youthful energy, like a beautiful but sleeping fairy. Today, this planning has awakened that fairy," Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha likened.
Citing figures proving Binh Phuoc's potential, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that after more than 25 years since its re-establishment, from a poor and disadvantaged province, the economic scale of Binh Phuoc province in 2024 has increased 92 times compared to 1997.
The GRDP growth rate over the past 25 years has always been high compared to the national average, reaching 8.5%/year. The average income per capita in 2024 will reach 108.4 million VND/year.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that with the advantage of being a later locality, the process of implementing Binh Phuoc's planning needs to be more synchronous, faster, greener, and more sustainable.
To achieve the goals set out in the planning, Binh Phuoc needs to focus on investing in inter-regional infrastructure, especially the completion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway and the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway.
Regarding investment attraction, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Binh Phuoc needs to develop industrial parks according to the green and circular industrial park model and have a strategy to attract projects and investment sectors with high added value.
In the issue of urban development, it is necessary to focus on developing the urban model in the direction of TOD (urban development associated with traffic hubs) which is being shaped. And it is necessary to promote the development of modern urban areas according to green and smart standards in harmony with sustainable rural areas rich in cultural identity.
In 2030, Binh Phuoc's GRDP growth rate will average 9%.
Binh Phuoc province planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, sets a general goal that by 2030, Binh Phuoc will become an industrial province in a modern, efficient and sustainable direction.
Specific goals by 2030: average GRDP growth rate reaches 9%; digital economy accounts for 30% of GRDP; average GRDP/person reaches 180 million VND; average labor productivity growth rate reaches about 7%/year.
By 2050, Binh Phuoc province strives to become a modern, prosperous and civilized industrial province, becoming one of the important economic growth poles of the Southeast region, equivalent to the provinces with a fairly developed level of the whole country.
The plan identifies development breakthroughs including: developing regional transport infrastructure; developing urban infrastructure, economic zones, and industrial parks; prioritizing training of qualified labor force; and building an equal and transparent investment and business environment.
