On the sidelines of the meeting with 63 outstanding Vietnamese Farmers and 63 typical cooperatives in 2024 at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Dan Viet Newspaper reporters met and talked with Mr. Le Anh Son - Director of Binh Minh Cooperative.
Here, Mr. Le Anh Son said: Binh Minh Cooperative was established in 2017. To ensure raw material sources for development, the Cooperative has proactively linked with nearly 300 pepper producing households in Eapô, Đắk Wil, Đắk Drông communes... with an output of nearly 500 tons/year.

All coffee and pepper products of farmers in the raw material area are purchased by Binh Minh Cooperative at prices higher than market prices.
Up to now, pepper products of Binh Minh Cooperative have been exported to markets of countries such as: Netherlands, India, Japan... with selling prices quite high compared to the domestic market.
Talking to PV Dan Viet, Mr. Le Anh Son - Director of Binh Minh Cooperative said: "In recent years, we have received attention from local authorities, non-governmental organizations and leading companies in spice processing.
Through that, they support the cooperative to carry out production organization activities, training and information on the needs of buyers of leading companies to purchase the cooperative's products.
"Currently, my cooperative has 27 farmer groups in 5 districts, 14 communes with 972 farmers. Last year, the cooperative had a lot of luck and had the opportunity to develop more strongly. The characteristic of the Central Highlands is that there are 2 main crops with good liquidity, which are coffee and pepper.
According to the information the cooperative has, the supply of these two agricultural products is gradually depleting, so this is an opportunity for the cooperative to organize production and consumption better until then foreign customers can access the market and buy at higher prices," Mr. Le Anh Son added.
On the sidelines of the meeting with the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Mr. Le Anh Son confided: "I once again recommend that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union coordinate more closely with local Farmers' Unions to propagate and guide farmer members to apply solutions to help stabilize agricultural product prices."
Specifically as follows: Only sell coffee and pepper when necessary, this helps reduce supply pressure on the market, keeping agricultural product prices high.
Do not consign agricultural products to unreliable units to ensure that farmers' products are well preserved and do not lose value.
Avoid borrowing money to speculate on agricultural products, this helps limit financial risks and avoid price pressure during market fluctuations.
In particular, it is necessary to stay calm in the face of price fluctuations, along with encouraging farmers to make smart financial decisions instead of reacting in panic to market changes. If these things are done well, coffee and pepper products will force foreign partners to pay higher prices.
On the other hand, Mr. Le Anh Son emphasized that relevant sectors and levels should coordinate with local authorities to support the construction of standard warehouses, helping farmers preserve coffee and pepper more effectively.
This not only helps stabilize prices but also enhances the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
