After receiving a transfer ban from FIFA, Hoang Anh Gia Lai decided to appeal. The mountain town team also invited the authorities to work.

" We have sent an appeal to FIFA to clarify the nature of the incident. In addition, HAGL Club has sent a document to the competent authorities of the Vietnamese State asking for intervention to clarify the incident.

Currently, the authorities have begun investigating the incident. When the authorities have resolved the matter, HAGL Club will announce the information to fans and the media ," the HAGL Club leader confirmed to VTC News on the afternoon of October 25.

HAGL must compensate Martin Dzilah with 29,000 USD.

HAGL must compensate Martin Dzilah with 29,000 USD.

Previously, the International Football Federation (FIFA) sent a document to HAGL, forwarding it to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) regarding the application of a ban on player registration for the mountain town team. This ban is related to the dispute between HAGL and player Martin Dzilah. The player born in 1997 only played 3 matches for HAGL and then had his contract terminated after suffering a serious injury.

Two months ago, the mountain town football team received a document from FIFA requesting payment of $29,000 in contract compensation to Martin Dzilah after terminating the contract with this striker. Within 45 days, HAGL must pay the above amount to Martin. The deadline to fulfill this obligation is October 15, but HAGL refused to pay.

Initially, the two sides agreed on a compensation of $20,000. However, the case took an unexpected turn when Dzilah confirmed that he had not received any money from his former team. He said that he had signed a receipt but in the end, he had not received any money. That was the reason why this foreign player asked someone to sue his former team.

Regarding the above incident, HAGL Football Club said: " At 3:00 p.m. on March 21, 2024, at the office of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club at 15 Truong Chinh, Pleiku, Gia Lai province, player Martin Dzilah and HAGL signed a record of termination of the Labor Contract. HAGL Club paid player Martin Dzilah 20,000 USD as agreed. Player Martin Dzilah signed a confirmation that he had received the full amount.

On August 30, 2024, HAGL Club received a decision from FIFA requiring it to pay player Martin Dzilah 29,000 USD based on player Martin Dzilah's complaint.

FIFA believes that HAGL Club terminated the contract with player Martin Dzilah for an unjustified reason. The mountain town football team was "accused" of forcing the player to sign a labor contract termination document and a receipt for full payment but did not pay the money into the player's account.
