Chicken feet smell in the freezer at the kitchen of the company providing meals for Phu Huu Primary School, Thu Duc City.
At noon on October 27, responding to reporters about a clip on social media accusing the kitchen providing meals for boarding students in Thu Duc City of storing spoiled food with food for students in the freezer, frozen chicken feet with no meat, smelly, pre-sliced sausages of unknown age..., Mr. Phan Thanh Phai, Principal of Phu Huu Primary School, Phu Huu Ward, Thu Duc City, said that this incident "affects the reputation and honor of the school and has made me very tired and stressed over the past few days".
Mr. Phan Thanh Phai said that the images people see on social media of rotten chicken feet, chicken thighs, sliced sausages, etc. stored in the freezer were filmed by parents in the kitchen of the company that provides meals for the school. The school does not have a kitchen on campus. The parents were part of the school's inspection team and the parent-teacher association that inspected the above meal company on October 25, 2023.
Sliced sausages have been in the freezer for who knows how long.
As soon as they discovered the storage of spoiled food in the freezer, the parents invited Mr. Phai to come down and witness. The chicken feet, sausages, etc. were explained as food cooked for the company employees, but after cooking, they stored it in the same freezer as the students’ food. The students’ menu from the beginning of the year did not include chicken feet. Mr. Phai immediately said that the place where food for students was stored should be for the students, and requested that the kitchen not store food for employees like that.
