Newborn baby boy abandoned in landfill
Previously, at around 6 p.m. the same day (May 15), people in Binh Trung commune (Thang Binh district) were passing by the commune's landfill when they heard a baby crying.
When they got closer, they discovered an abandoned newborn baby boy, wrapped in a towel, so they took him to Binh Trung Commune Health Station for care and health monitoring. However, the baby showed signs of respiratory failure, so he was transferred to Quang Nam Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital for monitoring and treatment.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of Binh Trung Commune Health Station, said that when the baby boy was brought to the health station, an infertile couple came to ask to adopt him. However, according to regulations, they had to wait to find the baby's relatives before making a decision.
The locality has issued a notice to find relatives for the newborn baby boy abandoned at this landfill.
