Prepare spare ribs

Method 1: Soak in salt water: Put the spare ribs in salt water diluted with hot water for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with water. Or you can smash a piece of ginger and soak it together to increase the deodorizing effect.

Method 2: Blanch with boiling water: After washing, put the ribs in a pot of water and wait for the water to boil, remove all the dirty foam, then take the ribs out and wash them again.

Start by marinating the ribs with 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder and 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce for 30 minutes to let the ribs absorb the spices.

Prepare the remaining ingredients

Wash the pickled cabbage, remove any bruises or damaged parts, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel the shallots, wash them with water, then chop them finely. Remove the stems from the tomatoes, wash them, and cut them into wedges.

Stir-fried spare ribs with pickled cabbage

Heat a non-stick pan, then add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to fry the shallots until fragrant. Add the spare ribs and stir-fry until the ribs are firm and the marinade is absorbed. Then, add the pickles and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until firm, then turn off the stove.

Cook soup

Prepare 2 bowls of water and put them in a pot to boil. When the water boils, add the ribs and stir-fried pickled cabbage. Add 2.5 teaspoons of seasoning powder and continue to simmer for 45 minutes.

Once the meat and pickles are soft, add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. Make sure the dish is flavorful, then season to taste before turning off the stove and scoop into a bowl to enjoy.
