On March 28, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held the inauguration ceremony of the new Da Nang Museum and built a statue of Uncle Ho at the city's General Science Library.
The new Da Nang Museum has been renovated and upgraded from the old building (No. 42 - 44 Bach Dang) with a total area of 8,686m2. This building was formerly the Governor's building, built during the French colonial period, and is now 125 years old.

The museum currently preserves nearly 3,000 documents and artifacts selected from 27,000 documents and artifacts, combining traditional display style with modern projection technology; especially the application of 3D Mapping films, 3D films, documentaries and image slides to increase the experience and interaction for visitors.
The exhibition spaces in the Museum are scientifically designed, suitable for arranging thematic displays of images, documents and artifacts. There are 9 major themes, which are: Overview photo wall of Da Nang city; Nature and people of Da Nang; History of Da Nang City; Struggle to protect national independence; War relics; Da Nang integration and development; Cultural diversity; Da Nang City Hall; Collection of antiquities of Da Nang Museum.
According to experts, the new Da Nang Museum project meets the functions of a modern museum with digital technology applications and high interactivity.
In particular, Da Nang Museum is the first museum to use smart robots. When entering the museum, visitors just need to press the request button, the robot will guide visitors along a specific route or customize in 10 different languages.
On the same day, Da Nang city also started construction of the Uncle Ho Statue at the Da Nang General Science Library.
The highlight of the project is the statue of Uncle Ho placed in a solemn position, right in the middle of the campus. The statue is 2.7m high, 1.7m wide, made of gray-white marble. This project has a bas-relief behind the statue of Uncle Ho, rearranged from 5 panels with a total length of 15m, height of 4.05m, depicting the image of Khue Van Cac in the middle and the image of Ngu Hanh Son - a special national monument of Da Nang city on both sides, made of gray granite.
The statue of Uncle Ho at the General Science Library will be an important cultural site for people and tourists coming to Da Nang to admire and remember Uncle Ho.
