Vietnam Law Newspaper holds a discussion on building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Tinh said that the issue of the socialist rule of law state has been mentioned many times by the Party in various documents. By November 2022, under the leadership and direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, for the first time, our Party had a specialized Resolution (Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW) on continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam in the new period.

The Deputy Minister of Justice suggested that the Vietnam Law Newspaper should do a better job of communicating about the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, focusing on clarifying the significance of building and perfecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, so that each citizen can perceive the value of the law; the requirements of building and perfecting the law, perfecting the effective law enforcement mechanism in protecting and ensuring the implementation of human rights and citizens' rights according to the Constitution and laws...

Contributing his opinion at the Seminar, Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Van Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies, former Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, said that to build socialism, it is necessary to identify three core pillars, which are a socialist-oriented market economy, a socialist rule-of-law state and socialist democracy. Building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam must always thoroughly grasp the viewpoints of "people are the root", "people are the master", deeply imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "All benefits are for the people. All powers belong to the people", consistently implementing the principle that all state power belongs to the people.

According to Mr. Tran Dang Vinh - Director of the Legal Department, Government Inspectorate, with inspection activities, the law is the tool and means to evaluate the behavior and actions of agencies, organizations and individuals. Inspection also detects inadequacies to perfect legal documents.

The Director of the Legal Department, Government Inspectorate recommended that we continue to focus on codification, human resource organization, working methods, financial mechanisms... to help simplify the law enforcement process.

Speaking at the seminar, journalist Vu Hoai Nam - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper shared that when Vietnam Law Newspaper was assigned to chair the seminar, the Organizing Committee was very surprised by the interest and participation of many managers and experts. The Organizing Committee received many comments and diverse opinions on many issues and recommendations and solutions to implement Resolution 27.

The Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper said: "The results of the Discussion and the opinions of participants in the Discussion will be recorded and published in the Newspaper's publications. Vietnam Law Newspaper has created a separate column on "Promoting the building and perfecting of the Socialist Rule of Law State of Vietnam".
