Comrade Le Tran Nguyen Huy - Party Cell Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper spoke at the program.
“Here, during the Inauguration and Handover Ceremony of the Project to Renovate and Embellish the National Historical Site of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School in August 2024, the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper planted a star apple tree, which now has beautiful green leaves, as you can see right at the entrance gate, and the Newspaper also presented many meaningful gifts to local students on this occasion... And so, coming to this school, for our Newspaper, is literally returning to the 'source'", comrade Le Tran Nguyen Huy shared.
At the ceremony, comrade Le Tran Nguyen Huy - Chairman of the Central Trade Union of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Party Cell Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper and comrade Tran Lan Anh - Vice Chairman of the Central Journalists Association of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Party Cell Secretary, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper presented membership cards of the Vietnam Journalists Association to reporters and editors of the Newspaper.
The Editorial Board of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper awarded membership cards to the Vietnam Journalists Association to reporters and editors.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper listened to Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - an officer of the Vietnam Journalism Museum introduce the National Historical Site of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School - the "red address" of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism. After 75 years, Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School now owns a diverse and vibrant complex, recreating the space of resistance journalism and the heroic journalism spirit of soldiers on the cultural and ideological front.
Next to Nui Coc Lake, reflecting on the historical land of Tan Thai, a complex of relics was designed and constructed based on the records and documents left behind about a bamboo lecture hall on the hill and the stilt house of the Viet Minh Headquarters, like two miniature museums, with the efforts of the Vietnam Press Museum to carry out two exhibitions "Viet Bac War Zone Journalism 1946-1954" and "Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School - 1949".

Equally prominent is the 200m2 “mini square”, with a relief nearly 3m high and nearly 8m wide with 48 portraits of the Board of Directors, lecturers and students of the School sketched by artist Ngo Xuan Khoi and directly built by sculptor Pham Sinh and his students - an impressive highlight that creates unforgettable emotions for visitors.
Coming to the Monument, journalists of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper have a better understanding of the Viet Bac War Zone - where a generation of journalists devoted themselves to the resistance war and national construction, overcoming all difficulties and challenges to become one of the main forces, contributing directly to the glorious revolutionary struggle of the nation and the golden history of our country's revolutionary press from 1946 to 1954. Valuable press documents and artifacts from the period 1946 - 1954 also recreate and affirm the great achievements of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the great national defense struggles and the journey of national construction.
The delegation of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper listened to Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - an officer of the Vietnam Journalism Museum introduce the National Historical Site of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School.
Through the "return to the source" activity, the Editorial Board of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper hopes that the staff and reporters of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper will continue to strive to improve their knowledge and expertise to become pioneer writers on the cultural and ideological front, worthy of Uncle Ho's teachings when he twice sent letters of encouragement and guidance on revolutionary journalism to the students of the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School. Here, he advised: "This class is the first journalism class, I hope you all compete to study and practice to be worthy of being pioneers on the journalism front. The press must also carry out the slogan: All for victory!"
