Speaking at the Forum, VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said that the 13th National Congress of the Party has set out the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country and specific goals: By 2025, our country will surpass the low-middle income level; by 2030, it will be a developing country with modern industry and high-middle income; by 2045, it will become a developed country with high income.
“To develop the economy, we need to have a core force of entrepreneurs and businesses. To build culture, the press is an important force, playing a decisive role in orienting public opinion and spreading it to society. To have a prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, we need both of these important forces to develop well and have effective cooperation and operations,” Mr. Pham Tan Cong emphasized.
According to the Chairman of VCCI, in order to promote the development of the team of entrepreneurs and enterprises, the Party and the State advocate the establishment of a favorable business environment. In terms of content, the press and media environment is also a part of the national business environment, playing an important role and influence on the development of the team of entrepreneurs and enterprises as well as on the spirit of entrepreneurship and start-ups. Practice also shows that the relationship between the press, media and enterprises is always an organic relationship, accompanying development.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam assessed that the organic relationship and companionship between the press and businesses over many years has always been a good relationship. However, at one time or another, the relationship between a press agency and a business, between reporters and businessmen still has some "annoying" things, so both sides still have some things to do better.

"If businesses have business culture, journalists and press agencies have journalistic culture. Similarly, businesses have business ethics, press agencies have journalistic ethics," Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam affirmed.
The Deputy Minister hopes that both sides will share the same vision and wish to join hands to make this relationship healthier, bringing practical opportunities to the forces representing the development resources of society and the country.
Within the framework of the Forum, the Signing Ceremony of the Coordination Program took place between four agencies: the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the VCCI.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association shared that the signing of the cooperation agreement was an initiative of the Chairman of VCCI and stemmed from the legitimate requirements and demands in the practical work of the team of business people, entrepreneurs and journalists.
The President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed that the mission of the press is to provide accurate and authentic information, creating depth and highlighting the inadequacies of socio-economic life. Therefore, businesses should be proactive with the press, proactively provide information, coordinate with the mainstream media, and provide accurate information, instead of avoiding the press.
Considering each field as a front, Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department - commented that each economic or ideological front also needs shock troops. If businessmen are soldiers on the economic front, journalists are also soldiers on the ideological front. Each front plays an important role in the development of the country. Therefore, soldiers on the fronts also need to unite and bond closely for the common development task as well as the development of the enterprises and the press agencies themselves.
At the same time, Mr. Lam suggested that VCCI should annually evaluate press agencies that have written good articles about businesses. At the same time, it is also a place to gather the frustrations and difficulties that businesses encounter when working with press agencies.
