On the afternoon of December 27, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue chaired a meeting with news agencies and newspapers in 2023; giving comments, suggestions and voting for 10 typical events of the National Assembly in 2023. Also attending were Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Chairman of the Law Committee Hoang Thanh Tung, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper - Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy.

Also attending were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, agencies of the National Assembly; representatives of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and nearly 70 editors-in-chief, deputy editors-in-chief of press agencies, and veteran journalists. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully thanked the opinions of leaders of press agencies and journalists for their comments and suggestions on the typical events of the National Assembly; affirmed that he would study and absorb the opinions to complete and soon announce the 10 typical events of the National Assembly in 2023. Press agencies are always proactive and active in fully, promptly and vividly conveying the activities of the National Assembly to voters and people nationwide; thereby, contributing to raising awareness and support of the people for the decisions of the National Assembly; contributing to bringing laws, ordinances and resolutions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee into life soon. The press has promptly reflected the thoughts and aspirations of sectors, sectors, voters and people to the National Assembly forum. "We believe that the press is a reliable channel for people to supervise the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies. Through the press channel, the National Assembly has more basis to promulgate many important policies and laws and to supervise supremely, better fulfilling assigned tasks", said the National Assembly Chairman and requested press agencies to continue to promote their role as an important bridge, connecting the National Assembly with the people and voters nationwide. Regarding the second Dien Hong Award, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue announced that the Organizing Committee had received 2,679 entries from 138 central and local press agencies, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils, and individuals at home and abroad. The judging process has been completed and the second Dien Hong Award ceremony is expected to take place in early January 2024, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.
