The implementation of Online Reporting with the goal of comprehensive digital transformation of the work of synthesis and reporting; optimizing processes, minimizing time, costs, and human resources; and at the same time enhancing transparency and responsibility in performing public duties is a key task, contributing to the modernization of state management of the Information and Communications sector.

At the Conference, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Luu, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Information and Communications, said that the Online Report was created based on the reality that each Department of Information and Communications had to send to the Ministry an average of 52 types of reports/year with a total of up to 132 reports/year, equivalent to 8,316 reports/year. The existence of too many types of reports, overlapping content, and manual implementation methods has caused a waste of time, effort, and resources of both the reporting and reporting agencies.

Online reports are built with outstanding advantages.
That is, reduce the number of reports: For Departments of Information and Communications: From 132 reports/year to 12 reports/year, equivalent to cutting 7,560 reports/year. For units under the Ministry: Reduce from 70 - 89 reports/year to only 12 reports/year, equivalent to cutting 2,257 reports/year.
At the same time, streamline reporting: A single overall reporting framework for 63 Departments of Information and Communications and a single overall reporting framework (customizable) for units under the Ministry.
Time saving: Reporting data only needs to be provided once per reporting period and is used multiple times for different stakeholders.

Thus, the implementation of Online Reporting is expected to bring many practical benefits, contributing to improving the efficiency of reporting work in the industry; contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the direction and administration of the Ministry, units under the Ministry and Departments of Information and Communications and promoting the application of IT, digital transformation, towards building e-Government and digital Government.
Within the framework of the Conference, delegates were given detailed instructions on how to operate the Online Report, and at the same time exchanged, discussed and answered questions related to the implementation and application of the Online Report in order to continue to improve it in the coming time.
