Vietnam team (Sport Center 1) lost the opening match.
Sport Center 1 Club represents Vietnamese volleyball at the 2023 FIVB World Club Championship. In fact, Sport Center 1 does not appear in domestic tournaments, it was only established to compete in the Asian Club and World Club tournaments.
The members of Sport Center 1 Club are the Vietnamese women's volleyball team led by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet. At the 2023 World Club Championship, Sport Center 1 will use the same lineup as at the AVC Asian Championship a few months ago, with only one position changed.
Apart from the two Asian teams, Sport Center 1 (Vietnam) and Tianjin Bohai Bank (China), the remaining teams in the tournament are all top "forces" from Europe and South America. Vakifbank SK and Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul come from Turkey and the remaining two teams - Gerdau Minas and Dentil Praia Clube - are representatives of Brazil.
