New salary scale for secondary school teachers from 1.7.2024

At the press conference in June 2024 on the outstanding results of the first 6 months of the year and the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that the Politburo had concluded on salary reform; adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.

Accordingly, the Government proposed to adjust the basic salary from the current 1.8 million VND to 2.34 million VND/month (an increase of 30%).

If this proposal is passed by the National Assembly, the detailed salaries of teachers at all levels will change significantly.

Below is the detailed salary table of secondary school teachers when the basic salary increases from 1.8 million VND/month to 2.34 million VND/month, teachers can refer to it.

The formula for calculating teacher salary is as follows: Salary = Basic salary x salary coefficient + allowance + seniority (if any).
