The Standing Committee of Uong Bi City Party Committee reviews and evaluates the classification of collectives and individuals in 2024.

On December 11, the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee held a conference to review, evaluate, and classify the quality of collectives and individuals in the political system in 2024. Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the conference.

In 2024, in the work of leadership, direction and operation, the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee has well implemented the principles of organizing activities, especially the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism; strictly implemented the regulations, rules, internal rules and working regime; promoted collective responsibility and the role of the head, collective leadership and individuals in charge. The Standing Committee is always highly united internally; upholds the spirit of self-criticism and criticism, does not degrade in ethics and lifestyle; does not engage in corruption, waste and does not have manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; promotes democracy and intelligence of each member of the Standing Committee, creating a combined strength. The City Party Committee has soon completed the 2024 Party admission target with 296 new Party members (including 4 students and 3 university students), reaching 102.1% of the plan, an increase of 3.6% compared to the number of Party members at the beginning of the year.

Following the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and local realities, the City Party Executive Committee has correctly identified the theme of the year's work "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity"; implementing planning, promoting investment to focus on leadership, direction and achieving positive results. The City Party Committee has achieved and exceeded 16/17 targets set out in the Resolution (of which, 8 targets were exceeded, 8 targets were met, 1 target was not met because the forest cover target was not ensured due to the impact of storm No. 3).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, highly appreciated the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee for being proactive and active in leading the implementation of tasks. At the same time, he requested the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee to focus on implementing a number of contents in 2025. In particular, focusing on building development goals commensurate with the potential and strengths of the locality. Regarding the long-term orientation, striving to build Uong Bi City into a type 1 urban area by 2030, the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee needs to develop specific solutions to create development breakthroughs; pay attention to issues of human resources, investment attraction; improve population quality; improve tourism infrastructure... At the same time, research and shape specific development models, associated with indigenous culture; improve governance capacity, management and operation organization.

In addition, focus on innovating leadership methods, being determined and promoting the spirit of "5 truths - 6 dares" among cadres, civil servants and public employees. In the immediate future, the city needs to focus on implementing the arrangement of the apparatus and political system in the direction of streamlining - strength - efficiency - effectiveness - efficiency, closely following the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the plan of the Provincial Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, performing assigned tasks to ensure progress and quality.

In particular, focus on leading and directing the preparation of Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, the 16th Provincial Party Congress, the 21st Uong Bi City Party Congress in the spirit of Directive No. 35-CT/TW on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; well direct the election of village and ward heads for the 2025-2027 term in the area, so that the election is truly a festival for all people, ensuring to maintain the rate of 100% of Party cell secretaries being village and ward heads according to the motto "People trust - Party nominates".
